I start with an email so you can click here to tell me some about your nonfiction writing project. Once I have more information, I can give you some choices to move forward in coaching and/or editing. You might want to do a half-hour coaching call for $75.00 or a 45-minute coaching call for $125.00. We can accomplish a lot in a call, and the best thing is you’ll move from confusion to clarity, from doubt to excitement. The descriptions below are a place for us to start, but all services are flexible and can be customized.

Proofreading

Proofreading includes cleaning up of errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and typos. You will receive a completely “clean” manuscript, ready for publication.

Copyediting

Copyediting includes all the services of proofreading, plus a mid-level examination and improvement of your manuscript. This may include evaluation of sentence structure, wording, overall flow, and organization.

1. I look at your rough draft, make suggestions for improvement, you make the changes, I look at it again, etc. When I make suggestions, I’ll be focusing on things like making sure manuscript

  • is focused on targeted sentence/book hook;
  • targeted for your reading audience; 
  • contains neither too much nor too little content; 
  • appropriately organized; includes sufficient development of ideas.

2. Another approach: I help you finalize your outline/table of contents, and then we work on the book together, developing one chapter at a time.
